About Coach Hermann

Running our Goalie Training is WHS Alum and Maryville Class of '29 Goalie Evan Hermann. Coach Hermann brings a wealth of knowledge and experience at the goalie position.

Coach Hermann is a freshman goalkeeper at Maryville University in the Saints' men's lacrosse program, wearing #49 at 6'1" and 175 lbs. He arrived at Maryville from Woodbury High School, where he was a key part of the Royals' historic 2022 Section 3 championship run — as a freshman, he stuffed 13 of 19 shots on goal (.684 save percentage) in Woodbury's 10-6 victory over two-time defending section champion St. Thomas Academy, helping send the Royals to the state tournament for the first time in program history.

Through four varsity seasons at Woodbury, Coach Hermann wore #24 in net for the Royals, sharing the goalkeeping rotation with Jack Vasterling (#25). He also played club lacrosse with Team Minnesota Lacrosse Boys 2025, wearing #13 in goal across the summer travel circuit. That dual-program experience — varsity + elite club — is the same development model he now coaches at The Tide.
