Coach Oliver Stalsberg

Coach Oliver Stalsberg leads offensive skills training for The Tide. An East Ridge Raptors alum and Maryville Class of '29 Saint, Coach Stalsberg is a 2× All Section selection, 1× All Conference selection, and 2× team captain. He brings two-way lacrosse IQ to every Tide training session — a defensive midfielder at the college level who runs The Tide's offensive minicamps.

Coach Stalsberg's versatility isn't theoretical — it's on tape. As a senior in 2025, he helped lead East Ridge to the program's first-ever MSHSL State Tournament appearance as the No. 6 seed, where the Raptors went 13-4, knocked off the defending state champion No. 3 Benilde-St. Margaret's in an overtime quarterfinal, and reached the semifinals against Stillwater Area. In that semifinal, Coach Stalsberg scored 2 goals — playing offense at the highest level of Minnesota high school lacrosse before heading to Maryville to play defense.

That two-way fluency is exactly what he coaches. The best offensive players in lacrosse think the game like defenders, and Coach Stalsberg coaches stick skills, footwork, and shooting from the perspective of what defenses are trying to take away.
